McLean residents can hear a political scientist break down the 2026 midterm results at the McLean Community Center on Sunday, Nov. 8.
Stephen Farnsworth, professor emeritus of political science and international affairs at the University of Mary Washington, will speak from 2 to 4 p.m. at the center, 1234 Ingleside Ave. The AAUW McLean Area Branch is hosting the event, according to a listing on McLean Patch.
Farnsworth plans to examine what the results reveal about public opinion, the balance of power in Congress and the president's policy agenda. He will also explore how the outcomes may set the stage for the 2028 presidential election.
Farnsworth has authored or co-authored nine books on the presidency and media. Registration and admission details were not listed.
