Nash & Smashed planned a grand opening Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Tysons Station shopping center at 7450-B Leesburg Pike in Pimmit Hills, as first reported by FFXnow.
The chain, which serves smash burgers, fried chicken and Nashville-style hot chicken sandwiches, offered free meals from 5 to 8 p.m. to mark the occasion. The deal included either a Classic Bull smashed burger or a fried chicken leg and thigh with fries.
The Pimmit Hills location had been open since a soft launch in early September. Nash & Smashed Chief Operating Officer Lamaan Malik told FFXnow the first weeks had been "good."
Malik said the Tysons Station spot filled a gap. He told FFXnow the area lacked a dedicated fried chicken and smash burger restaurant, and that was why the chain chose to open there.
The Pimmit Hills restaurant is the chain's 30th location and its third in Fairfax County, joining Reston and Lorton, according to FFXnow. Founder Zayan Abbasi opened the first Nash & Smashed in Manassas in 2024, the outlet reported.
Malik told FFXnow that none of the food is frozen and that ingredients come from local suppliers. "That's our punchline: freshly prepared and local," he said, according to FFXnow.
Tysons Station, owned by Federal Realty, is anchored by Trader Joe's and is fully leased, according to a site plan cited by FFXnow.
The chain is also eyeing more growth in Fairfax County. Malik told FFXnow that Nash & Smashed was preparing to open at 7609 Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley and was close to finalizing a lease for a spot in the City of Fairfax. The company also has planned locations in Australia and the United Kingdom.
