Four Maryland men face charges in a burglary spree that targeted families displaced by house fires across Fairfax County, the Fairfax County Police Department announced Oct. 28.

The suspects are accused of hitting four fire-damaged homes a total of five times between November 2025 and July 2026. They allegedly stole firearms, a gun safe, a Porsche Macan, cash, jewelry, a guitar, headphones, perfume and purses, according to the FCPD.

One home was burglarized twice. The residence, in the 1500 block of Shellbark Place, falls under the Reston District Station, according to the FCPD. FFXnow described the location as the Dranesville area north of Herndon.

A fire damaged that home on Nov. 6, 2025. Five days later, the family returned to find someone had broken in and damaged their gun safe. Nothing appeared stolen at that point, according to police. The suspects allegedly came back Nov. 23, 2025, and took the gun safe, the firearms inside it and a Porsche Macan from the driveway. The vehicle was later found in Maryland.

Three more burglaries followed in spring and summer 2026. The FCPD listed these under its Fair Oaks and West Springfield district stations:

  • May 1 in the 4400 block of San Carlos Drive, after an April 23 fire
  • May 20 in the 11300 block of Bulova Lane, the day after a fire
  • July 12 in the 9200 block of Blue Steel Way in the Crosspointe area, the day after a fire

FFXnow described the San Carlos Drive and Bulova Lane locations as the Braddock area near Fairfax City.

Criminal Investigations Division detectives linked the five incidents by reviewing video footage, digital evidence and traced stolen property, the department said. Some stolen items, including the firearms taken from Shellbark Place, were recovered.

Detectives worked with the FBI and law enforcement in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Loudoun County during the investigation, according to the FCPD.

The four men charged are all from Maryland:

  • Christian Webb, 24, charged with five counts of burglary, two counts of destruction of property, grand larceny and auto theft. He is awaiting extradition from Pennsylvania.
  • Timothy Lowe, 23, charged with four counts of burglary, two counts of destruction of property, grand larceny and auto theft. He was released on bond and is due in Fairfax County General District Court on Dec. 29 for a preliminary hearing.
