Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department Captain Thomas Biller has reached 25 years of service, a milestone the department recognized on its official X account Tuesday.

Biller is assigned to C-Shift at Fire Station 41 in Crosspointe. The department thanked him for his dedication to Fairfax County residents.

FCFRD is the largest fire department in Virginia, with 1,360 uniformed personnel operating out of 39 stations, including four serving McLean and Great Falls: McLean Station 1, Tysons Corner Station 29, Scotts Run Station 44 and Great Falls Station 12. The department's FY 2024 budget authorized 125 captain positions across its operations bureau.

The milestone comes during a period of growing demand. FCFRD responded to 131,605 incidents in 2025, which it called its busiest year on record.
