A 16-year-old girl reported missing from McLean has been found safe, the Fairfax County Police Department confirmed.

Willow Higdon was last seen at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, in the 1900 block of Chain Bridge Road, according to Fairfax County Police on X. The department classified her as missing and endangered and issued a public alert Saturday, Sept. 5, asking residents to help locate her.

The alert described Higdon as 5 feet 4 inches tall, 100 pounds, with dyed dark brown hair and green eyes. Her clothing at the time she went missing was unknown.

The department later updated its Facebook page to confirm Higdon had been located safely.

Police did not release details about where she was found or the circumstances behind her endangered classification.
